CASE PROFILE - Hemochromatosis
Diagnosis:
1. Hemochromatosis
2. Periphero-arterial occlusive disease
History:
2 years existence of dermal ulcers, 81 year old male
Prior Treatments:
1. Daily dressings
2. Topical agents
3. Antibiotics
4. Vasodilators
5. Analgesics.
Treatment at Meditech Rehabilitation Centre:
1. Removal of dressings.
2. Discontinuation of all medications.
3. Nightly saline compresses.
4. Daily laser therapy to autonomic nervous system and locally over ulcers.
Condition on Discharge:
1. No pain
2. No medications
3. Ulcer 70% epithelialized
